Gospel soul singing diva Sak. first became interested in the music of black culture in her early teens. At the age of 16 she joined the Hyper Gospel Choir where she learned to sing and perform with a maturity beyond her years.
During her college years she sang and worked as a band master with the college group K.B.R. society the KALUA, a large band with a long history. And performed with them for their 50th anniversary at the Bluenote in Tokyo as well as other events around Tokyo.
After college Sak. continued down her musical path performing on her own and with others at various venues in and around the Tokyo area. In 2007 she became the on-air personality of a the gospel internet radio show “Gospel and Organ♪cs”. By fall of 2009 she had even recorded music with notable jazz musicians like Stanley Banks (George Benson Band), Joe Ford (McCoy Tyner Band) and more.
Now in 2010 she has made one of her biggest steps with the release of her first full album “Gift of Love”. A CD which showcases the vocal chops and gospel influences of this exciting up and coming artist as she brings a new breeze onto the Japan music scene.

10代よりブラックミュージックに親しむ。16歳からHyper Gospel Choir に所属し、当時より大人顔負けの堂々としたパフォーマンスを披露する。
慶應義塾大在学中は、K.B.R. society the KALUA レギュラーバンドマスターとして50周年OB会でブルーノート東京にて演奏のほか、渋谷エリアのライブハウスを中心に演奏経験を重ねる。卒業後より SAK. としての活動を本格始動。
2004年よりギターとのデュオ browncocoa の活動を開始。以来スターバックスコーヒー等のカフェほか全国各地のイベントにて演奏を敢行。
2007年よりインターネットラジオのゴスペル情報番組『Gospel & Organ♪cs』のナビゲーターを務める。
同年、河口恭吾氏主宰「地球兄弟プロジェクト」に参加。賛同アーティストとして、音楽を通し平和を呼びかける活動を続ける。
2009年には日本オランダ年記念映画『シング・フォー・ダルフール』をサポートするアンサーソング “Touch The Sky” に参加。
同年秋にはニューヨークにて、Gerry Eastman (Count Basie Orchestra), Stanley Banks (George Benson Band), Taru Alexander (Roy Hargrove Quintet), Joe Ford (McCoy Tyner Band) といった世界で活躍するNYのジャズミュージシャンらとレコーディングの実績を収める。
2010年2月、SAK.をはじめ4人の実力派シンガーが参加した本格派ソウルミュージックのコンピレーションアルバム『SOUL OVER THE RACE Vol.1』がSWEET SOUL RECORDS よりリリース。
そして2010年春、自身が9曲中8曲作詞・作曲を手掛けた初のフルアルバム『Gift of Love』が満を持してリリースされる。
これからの日本のミュージックシーンを牽引する、いま最も注目される若手実力派アーティスト。
