Influenced at a young age by legendary artists like Aretha Franklin, vocalist Megu Imaji took stage for the first time when she was 13.
Afterward, between 2005 and 2007 she participated in and won several Music Contests. During this period she also visited the home of “Black” Soul Music..America.
In New York she auditioned for and was accepted as an entrant for the historically known “Amateur Night” at the Apollo Theater in New York!
Megu returned to Japan in 2008 with increased confidence from her time in NY. She immediately made impact by ranking in at number 1 on a popular Asia based music site. In 2009 she released her first single “My Way” and her second single “WoMan” in 2010. Both receiving great reaction from the music community and fans.
Wearing all the hats for composing, track making and song writing, Megumi Furukawa is working hard to place herself on the world stage. Be sure to watch out for this talented singer.

初めてのス テージは13歳の時だった。
2005年～2007年の間、様々なコンテストでグランプリ獲得。また、三度に渡り単身アメリカN.Yへ行き本場のBlack musicに触れる。その中で2008年冬、黒人音楽の殿堂APOLLO THEATER(アポロシアター)で行われているイベント「Amateur Night」に挑戦し見事オーディション通過、本選出場を果たす。
N.Yでの経験が自身の成長に繋がり、日本に帰国。2008年、九州・沖縄・アジア発着 うた(R)サイト『AsianQwaveフル』にて月間ランキング１位を獲得。2009年より本格的に自主制作での活動をスタート。同年8月、デビューシ ングル「My Way」をリリース。同日「Gate’s7」にて行ったワンマンライブも急遽追加チケットを発行するほどの大盛況となった。現在、着うた(R)サイト 『musicbus』にて着うた(R)・着うたフル(R)を全国配信中。自主制作ながら初登場『MyWay』２位獲得。
そして2010年9月19日、待望の2ndマキシシングル「WoMan」を発売。同日、「福岡BEAT STATION」にて「WoMan」リリースを記 念して2度目のワンマンライブを行う。幼いころピアノで養った音感を生かし、作詞・作曲・編曲・トラックメイクまでを全て自身で行いながら、現在シンガー ソングライターとして全国へ活動を展開している。
