Things really started for Izumi Wada in 2002 when, while working as a bartender in a local cafe, she met Jazz pianist Teruo Moriyama. This chance meeting eventually lead to her singing and performing as a Jazz vocalist.
By 2004 she was composing her original songs as well as performing various jazz standards. In the same year her music was number 1 in downloads on an Indies music site and continued to rank in the top ten throughout the year.
In 2009 she released her first album “Just the Two of Us”. The album was an international affair, recorded in Sweden and featuring musicians Simon Westman、Johan Borgström、and Sebastiaan Kaptein. It featured jazz and pop standards sung with the straight yet unique sounding vocals of Ms. Izumi.
After this successful first release she is currently doing live shows in various venues including live houses, clubs and even hospices. This young talented singer is still on the rise so be sure to check out her music soon!

2002年、バーテンダーとして働いていたカフェでジャズピアニスト森山輝生氏の生演奏に出会い、ジャズボーカルに没頭する。
2004年、ＮＹに渡りギタリスト森山修氏に出会う。共作のオリジナル曲やジャズスタンダードを録音し、インディーズ音楽の紹介サイトNEXT MUSIC Japanではニューカマー・ウィークリー・ダウンロード1位となり、約1ヶ月に渡りダウンロード・ランキング10位以内をキープ。また、有線放送の Cafe Apres-midiチャンネルで金曜日の選曲に加えられ全国に放送される。
2006年、ドキュメンタリー映画「ガイアシンフォニー」の上映イベントをプロデュース。初の単独企画にもかかわらず170人を動員、寄付金が集まりSave the Childrenへ募金。
2008年、第5回24時間映画祭（24時間で映画を制作してしまう世界最短のショートフィルムイベント）では、自らが原案したストーリーのアルコール中毒者役で、主演女優賞を受賞。
2009年3月リリースとなる初アルバム「Just The Two Of Us」は、スウェーデンでの録音。ヨーロッパのみならず世界中で活躍中のミュージシャン森泰人、Simon Westman、Johan Borgström、Sebastiaan Kapteinとの作品。ジャズスタンダートやボサノヴァに加え、スティービー・ワンダーや、エルトン・ジョンの名曲を、ホールのステージで輪になって録 音、臨場感溢れる作品となっている。そして、ストレートで伸びやかな歌唱と、ユニークな声質は、ジャズボーカルの枠を超えて、独特の個性を放っている。
現在、多様なライブ演奏の経験（場所は、ライブハウス、ホール、バーのみならず寺院、鍾乳洞、クラブ、末期がん患者のホスピス。形態は、ピアノトリオ、ギ ターとのデュオ、オーケストラの他、ウッドベースとのデュオ、ＤＪとの楽曲づくりなど）を生かし、さらに異分野とのコラボレートで、生きたアートを体感す るイベントを計画している。
