R&B singer songwriter Jay<\/strong> was born and raised in the Tokyo and Chiba areas. She making music when she was 20 after learning how use the KORG TRITON, a music synthesizer.<\/p>\n

Once she got used to the TRITON she began sending out demo tapes\u00a0 including one to an Audition sponsored by Sony Japan. The demos contained her Acappella version of “Ue Ni Muite Arukou” ‘(aka Sukiyaki in the US). Through those efforts she eventually met another musician and formed the unit rosetta garden, which made their major debut in 2003. They went on to release 2 more singles and one album. In 2004 they worked with some big time producers.\u00a0 But in 2005 the group went their separate ways.<\/p>\n

Jay now sings solo doing gigs in and around the Tokyo area. With a natural and soulful sound she is a diva to watch out for. Catch some of those sweet R&B tracks on her myspace page<\/a> while you can.<\/p>\n
