Things really started for Izumi Wada <\/strong>in 2002 when, while working as a bartender in a local cafe, she met Jazz pianist Teruo Moriyama. This chance meeting eventually lead to her singing and performing as a Jazz vocalist.<\/p>\n

By 2004 she was composing her original songs as well as performing various jazz standards. In the same year her music was number 1 in downloads on an Indies music site and continued to rank in the top ten throughout the year.<\/p>\n

In 2009 she released her first album “Just the Two of Us”<\/a>. The album was an international affair, recorded in Sweden and featuring musicians Simon Westman\u3001Johan Borgstr\u00f6m\u3001and Sebastiaan Kaptein. It featured jazz and pop standards sung with the straight yet unique sounding vocals of Ms. Izumi.<\/p>\n

After this successful first release she is currently doing live shows in various venues including live houses, clubs and even hospices. This young talented singer is still on the rise so be sure to check out her music soon!<\/p>\n
