In the popular Inogashira Park on a hot and humid Sunday we find indies artists Sawa and her partner Zizi singing live for everyone to hear. There are not many people yet but things have just started and people are beginning to notice.

熱く、湿気のある日曜日の井の頭公園でインディーズアーティストSawaと彼女のパートナーZiziの歌ってる姿を見る。見てる人まだ多くないが事はちょうど始まり、人々は気づき始めている。

It is a street live, a not uncommon site in the park or around Tokyo for that matter, but there is one big difference with this show. Where you usually find fliers, CDs or something with information promoting the performing artist, there is only a sign-up sheet and two homemade signs featuring a cutely drawn dog and cat with the words “STOP Animal Cruelty”.

それはストリットライブ、公園のまたは東京のまわりのその点では珍しくないがこのショー1つの大きい相違がある。ビラ、CDまたはアーティスト情報の普通にあるところで可愛く書いた猫と犬の絵。そしてその絵の下に書いたものは”停止動物虐待”

This live event is the first step of a summer campaign for the promotion of better laws to protect animals in Japan and Sawa and her crew are collecting signatures from the audience for a petition.  It is a scene you don’t see often in Japan from performing artists, but hopefully this energetic young lady’s campaign will start a trend. A trend of giving back to the world around you.

このイベントは日本の動物を保護するよりよい法律の昇進のための夏のキャンペーンの第一歩であり、Sawaと彼女の友達は嘆願書のための聴衆から署名を集めている。そのシーンが東京であまり見ないけどうまく行けばこの精力的な若者のキャンペーンは運動を起こすかも知らない。

It has already been a week but I still cant get over what a great show we had at the Pink Cow on May 2nd. It was a lot of fun to introduce all the talented artists we had lined up. And a special thanks to all the people who came to see the show. We are already planning the next event and will let you know next date as soon as we can. もう一週間以上をたったが、渋谷のPink CowにやったJINラジオライブあんなに大成功してまだまだ信じません。たくさんな素晴らしいアーティストを紹介するのは本当に楽しかったですね。そして特にライブに来てくれたの皆さんのおかげでグレートなイベントになりました。ｍ（＿＿）ｍ　次にのイベントもう計画中です、日は決めた時すぐお知らせに。

JIN Radio has been working hard to introduce many different Indies artists and music for the more than year and we are now ready to take the next step.

Thats why this May 2nd JIN Radio will be presenting Japan Indies Night. A FREE live music event featuring 4 artists introduced on JIN and www.japanindies.com

The event will be held at the popular restaurant-bar The Pink Cow in Shibuya where you can enjoy some great music in a very cozy and friendly atmosphere. (No cover charge but we do ask you to try some of the great food and drink available there)

So come spend some Golden Week time with MC DJ Aki and artists Mitsuki, SAWA, The KINLAY Band, KOZO of Milk and Water. It is going to be a great show!

Hey all,

I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather these days. Summer is great but DJ Aki loves the Fall (-;

OK some announcements:

The next JIN Radio will be uploaded on Sept. 18th at 4pm Japan time.

Due to popular demand we will be featuring some Soul and Hip Hop indies in Japan. Just in time for the long 5 day weekend (for some) which will be happening here. It will be a cool show so dont forget to check it out. Especially recommended for long drives to nice places.

The next big news is that JIN Radio will be going weekly (almost).  From October we will be uploading regularly every 1st, 2nd, and 4th Friday of the month. The 3rd Friday will be a rest week. If there is a 5th Friday, a special show may be announced.

Each show will be about 30 minutes and have its own theme.

1st Friday: Jazz indies

2nd Friday: Pop/Rock indies

4th Friday: R&B-Hip Hop-Reggae indies

If you are a musician in Japan and would like us introduce your music on the show feel free to contact us at  jinradio@japanindies.com

さて、知らせです：

次のJINラジオは来週の金曜日の１６時にアップする。　しかも良くリクエストがあったので、テーマはインディーズR&B－ヒップホップ。楽しいショーになるで！是非チェックしてくれ。　次のJINをアップするのはちょうどシルバーウィークの前ので良いドライブミュージックになるよー

そして次のビッグニュースは

１０月からJINラジオ番組だいたい毎週になる！来月から弟１、２、と４の金曜日に新しい番組をアップする。第３は休みになるが、第５の金曜日がある時たまに特別のショーを行う。その時の前にちゃんとアナウンスする。

それぞれのショーがテーマも付いてる

弟一： ジャズ　インディーズ

弟二： ポップ・ロック　インディーズ

弟四： R&B・ヒップホップ・レゲー　インディーズ

This version of the site is now offically available for everyone to see and use.  It features easier naviagation, searchable database, and an on-site guestbook.  All indies artists profiles are still in place with more to come, and the events calendar will return soon.

She was so cute I decided to keep her. She can be a little naughty sometimes but has a great sense for music. I hope you all grow to like her!

放送場所は三軒茶屋のかめや(居酒屋) HAPPY FM 86.9MHz

どんな感じに出るのはまだ決めてないけどチャンスがあれば聴いてみてくださいまたは場所は居酒屋なので遊ぶに来て！

JIN Radio MC DJ Aki will be guesting on a small radio station on May 17th (Sunday)　from around 6:00 PM. Its a small community style station but its also a big step for him.

It will be broadcasting from Kameya a Japanese style bar in Sangenjaya, which is a couple of stops after Shibuya station on the den-en toshi line.

I’m not sure what I will be doing on the show yet. But if you have time please check it out on HAPPY FM 86.9 or come by for some food and drink while listening to the show!
